Our helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working directly with older people across the UK.
We use the knowledge and insight gained from our support services and partnerships to highlight the issues experienced by older people in poverty and campaign for change.
We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life.
We provide information and support on matters that affect older people such as money and benefits, care, support and housing options. Call our freephone helpline on 0800 319 6789 Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm or email helpline@independentage.org.
Our printed and online information is for older people, their families and carers. It covers topics including money, housing, health and care, wellbeing and staying safe.
We run free telephone groups, known as Good to Know groups, for people aged 65+ to learn about topics that matter to them. We share tips and often have guest speakers. These are open to all but especially those who aren't online or can’t get out and about.
We believe nobody should face financial hardship in later life. Find out how we’re campaigning to improve the lives of older people.
Whatever your talents, you can use them to help improve the lives of older people. We have a number of volunteering roles available to suit you. We'll give you the training necessary and also cover your expenses.
