Why run for Independent Age?
The money you raise will support people like Veronica, 82. Veronica called our Helpline as she was struggling with rising electricity bills. Veronica had started relying on extra jumpers when she was cold instead of turning on the heating, to keep down costs.
Our Helpline helped Veronica to understand more about the money she was entitled to. Now, Veronica is receiving pension credit. This is a crucial top up for her income.
By fundraising for Independent Age, you will provide a lifeline for older people in financial hardship.

How will we support you?
You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you cross that finish line.
We’ll provide you with:
• An Independent Age technical running vest to wear on race day.
• A well-deserved certificate, totalling the amazing amount you raise for us
• Fundraising and training support from our dedicated Events Manager
• Cheer points and support along the route
For more information about our events, call our Events Manager on 020 7605 4229 or email events@independentage.org
I have my own place
If you already have your own place in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, we’d love to have you on the team! You’ll receive all the same support as our charity place runners. You’ll have no registration fee or fundraising target, but we’ll help you raise as much as you can.
