Great Bristol Run

Each year, thousands of runners push their perseverance and passion to the limit and take on the super-scenic 10k and half marathon routes at the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run.

If stunning views, inspiring history and graffiti murals are your thing, then the Great Bristol Run is right up your street. But it’s not just the inspiring scenery that attracts runners from far and wide: the fast, flat course also makes this event perfect for those on the hunt for a new personal best – or just looking to get to the finish line!

The money you raise will support people like Veronica. Veronica is 82 years old and lives in the Southeast of England. She called our Helpline as she was struggling with rising electricity bills. Veronica was relying on extra jumpers when she was cold instead of turning on the heating, to keep down costs.

The Helpline helped Veronica to understand more about the money she was entitled to. Now, Veronica is receiving pension credit. This is a crucial top up for her income.

By fundraising for Independent Age, you will provide a support system for older people going through difficult times.

You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you cross that finish line.

We’ll provide you with:

• A free Independent Age technical running vest to wear on race day

• A well-deserved certificate, totalling the amazing amount you raise for us

• Fundraising and training support from our dedicated Events team

• Cheer points and support along the route

If you already have your own place in the Great Bristol Run, we’d love to have you on the team! You’ll receive all the same support as our charity place runners. You’ll have no registration fee or fundraising target, but we’ll help you raise as much as you can.
