At Independent Age, we know the huge impact COVID-19 is having on people in later life.
Whether it is not being able to see friends and family, experiencing money worries, experiencing bereavement, or having trouble accessing health treatments, the pandemic has disrupted many areas of our life.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Independent Age has run three surveys to find out more about the views and experiences of people in later life – the latest of these received over 5000 responses. We wanted to better understand what's happening in people's everyday lives to ensure that our policy and campaigning work truly reflects the experiences of those in later life.
In this new report, we set out our findings and offer policy recommendations to ensure that all older people get the support they need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
