Around 60,000 people will be taking part in the 2024 Great North Run. The route from Newcastle to South Shields is famous for its atmosphere with a great selection of entertainment cheering you on as you run.

How will we support you?
You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you cross that finish line.
We’ll provide you with:
• A free Independent Age technical running vest to wear on race day
• A well-deserved certificate, totalling the amazing amount you raise for us
• Fundraising and training support from our dedicated Events Officer
• Cheer points and support along the route

I have my own place
If you already have your own place in the Great North Run, we’d love to have you on the team! You’ll receive all the same support as our charity place runners.
