Face-to-face fundraising
Find out about our face-to-face fundraising team and where we're fundraising this week.
Face-to-face fundraising is one of the most effective ways of recruiting new supporters and raising essential funds for Independent Age. Regular gifts through Continuous Card Payments allow us to commit to new projects and ensure the financial security of our vital services, like our helpline.
Have you seen one of our fundraisers on your street?
Our door-to-door fundraisers knock on doors to tell people about our vital work and ask people if they can give a regular gift.
Our current door-to-door activity is supported by an external agency called IXL, who have permission to recruit on behalf of Independent Age.
A genuine Independent Age fundraiser will always:
- wear an Independent Age green branded jackets with our logo embroidered on it
- carry Independent Age materials, including a thank you for listening card with our phone number, website and registered charity number
- only ever request a recurring card payment donation; our fundraisers will not ask for, and cannot accept, cash
- use an electronic tablet device and will never ask a member of the public to write any details on a paper form.
