Run the One

Celebration Mile taking place Sunday 21st July 2019

Whether you’re coming back to running after some time or have only ever run for a bus, our weekly running groups are ready to welcome you.

This group isn’t about how fast or how far you can go. The aim is to get active, make friends, and most of all have a lot of fun while training to run, jog or walk one mile.

All your weekly sessions build up to the celebration mile. Join us in July to show how far you’ve come, and to raise vital funds for Independent Age to make a difference to the lives of lonely older people around the UK.

A portrait of Chris, our group leader.

Chris Carter is Run the One's Group Leader. She has lived in Worthing for over 24 years and has been a freelance fitness coach for ten years, working closely with people of all ages and fitness levels.

She discovered the importance of physical activity when she began dancing at the age of 17 and spent many years travelling across Europe with various dance troupes before studying and becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and setting up her own fitness business.

Chris believes physical activity can lift anyone's mood, boost energy levels and take care of mind, body and soul.
