Independent Age and RNIB asked leading experts to each write an essay about how we best prepare for an ageing population.
This series focuses especially on how we might decide to pay for the needs of an ageing society.
We are delighted to have worked closely with the think-tanks Bright Blue, CentreForum and the Fabians at this important moment to host discussions on these issues ahead of the 2015 spending review.
Essays include:
- Andrew Harrop, General Secretary of the Fabian Society, on paying for care in later life.
- Clare Tickell, Chief Executive of Hanover Housing Association, on building the right homes for an ageing population.
- Chris Curry, Director of the Pensions Policy Institute, on improving stable incomes in retirement.
- Claudia Wood, Chief Executive on Demos, on inequalities between and within generations.
