Laura has been a compelling advocate for the issue of loneliness from the very founding of the Campaign nine years ago and has worked to promote it as an issue in need of recognition and action from policy makers and service providers across the UK.

Estelle McCartney, who is chair of the Campaign to End Loneliness’ Management Group as well as an Independent Age Trustee said: “There is still much more to be done and the Campaign continues to work on these issues across the UK.

“In the meantime, I would like to extend my thanks to Laura on behalf of Independent Age and our Trustees for all the dedication, passion and work she has put into the Campaign from its inception. I wish her all the very best in her future and congratulations on her appointment as Chief Executive of another organisation – they are very lucky to have recruited her.”
