In response to the news that hospitals, care homes and GP surgeries could be legally required to publish their ratings to help patients make more informed choices about where they go for care, Janet Morrison, Chief Executive of Independent Age said:

“We welcome this recognition that many people, particularly older people without internet access, do not routinely look for information online. We believe greater transparency and information will help older people and their families when making choices within the NHS and social care system.”
