Commenting on Independent Age's Plain English Award 2017 win, Janet Morrison, Chief Executive of Independent Age, the older people's charity, said:
“We are delighted to have won a Plain English Award for our Coping with Bereavement and Scamwise advice guides. This follows on from previous awards for our public information guides and website and show that we continue to produce information that is accessible and useful to older people and their families. With our online public information being viewed over two million times last year, it’s really important to us that our guides make complicated issues easy to understand and it’s wonderful that our efforts have been recognised.”
