London Marathon 2027

Join us on our mission to end poverty in later life and be one of the thousands of runners completing the iconic London Marathon in 2027!

Arguably the world's favourite marathon, the London Marathon will be back for its 47th edition in 2027! With its classic London route, incredible atmosphere and record-breaking title as the world’s biggest marathon and annual one-day fundraising event on Earth, it’s the perfect event to run to support Independent Age, and the 1.7 million older people living in poverty in the UK.

Following the success of the last event, we are pleased to be taking applications for next year's Independent Age team! We have very limited spaces and endeavour to contact participants as soon as possible to allocate spaces to successful runners. (Please note that completing this form does not guarantee your space.)

At Independent Age, we believe that no one should face financial hardship in later life. Yet today almost two million older people live below the poverty line, with many more experiencing precarious finances.

By fundraising for Independent Age, you will provide a lifeline for older people in financial hardship.

You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you complete your challenge.

We’ll provide you with:

• a free Independent Age technical running vest to wear for your event
• a well-deserved certificate, showing the amazing amount you raise for us
• fundraising and training support from our dedicated Events team
• and we'll be there to cheer you on on the day!

If you already have your own place, we’d love to have you on the team! You’ll receive all the same support as our charity place participants.
