Local Ambassador Volunteer - Your Role

This page outlines your roles, responsibilities and boundaries as a local ambassador volunteer. It also provides your role specific training to give you the opportunity to refresh your memory when needed.

Listen

Local Ambassador Volunteer Role Description (PDF)

A Local Ambassador volunteer will act as an ambassador for Independent Age in their local area, promoting our work and enabling us to reach more older people.

Local Ambassador Volunteer Boundaries (PDF)

These are the volunteering role boundaries we have put in place based on experience of what works well to develop a happy and fulfilling volunteering relationship. The boundaries provide a framework for everyone to understand what is and isn’t included in the volunteering role and to protect the volunteer from being asked to do something outside their role.

Local Ambassador Volunteer Training (PDF)

The local ambassador volunteer training covers areas such as common issues affecting and supporting older people, understand your role as a Local Ambassador Volunteer further, looking at other Volunteering Roles, and how to do recording and reporting as part of your role.
