Kiltwalk

Walk for Independent Age

The Kiltwalk offers walkers of all ages and abilities the chance to take on a sponsored challenge. Taking place in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Edinburgh, you have three walking distances to choose from: the Mighty Stride (26 miles), the Big Stroll (11–15 miles) and the Wee Wander (3–5 miles).

Sign up through the official Kiltwalk website and join the thousands of Kiltwalkers raising funds for charity. Select the event/location you want and click ‘sign up now’ – and, when you’re filling out the sign-up form, select Independent Age from the list of charities. You’ll raise even more money for older people, because the Hunter Foundation tops up the funds you raise by 50%.

Why support Independent Age?

The money you raise will support people like Veronica. Veronica is 82 years old and lives in the Southeast of England. She called our Helpline as she was struggling with rising electricity bills. Veronica was relying on extra jumpers when she was cold instead of turning on the heating, to keep down costs.

The Helpline helped Veronica to understand more about the money she was entitled to. Now, Veronica is receiving pension credit. This is a crucial top up for her income.

By fundraising for Independent Age, you will provide a support system for older people going through difficult times.
