What is our Readers’ Panel?

We produce a range of advice guides, factsheets and leaflets as well as online tools. We want to know if they are:

  • clear
  • useful
  • easy to read
  • attractive and well-designed.

Our Readers’ Panel is one way you can tell us what you think.

Who are we looking for?

Anyone can join – you don’t have to be an expert. We want to know your views because our information is for people like you.

If you like reading and want to have your say, this is a great chance to get involved in what we do.

How does it work?

When we produce a new publication, we’ll get in touch and ask if you want to help. Then we’ll send you a draft - by email or post - and ask you to give us your comments. It’s up to you how often you take part.

For some projects, we might also speak to you over the phone to get your opinions or hear your personal story. Or we may invite you to join a focus group.

What difference does it make?

Your views really matter to us. You can help us to spot:

  • jargon – words that are unclear or unhelpful
  • too much or confusing information
  • problems with design that make our information difficult to read.

Your suggestions will also help us to improve and develop our range.
