At Independent Age, our aim is to reduce poverty, tackle inadequate care and combat loneliness. Last year, over 1 million people accessed our services.

Your support will ensure more vulnerable older people get the essential information, advice and support they need to stay independent and live well. Whether you're just starting out or you’re a seasoned runner, we’d love to have you on our team. Together, we can make a huge difference.

The flat 13.1 mile route is great for beginners looking for a gentle first half, or great for experienced runners to set a personal best.

Raise vital funds for Independent Age and cruise down Mare Street though a carnival of sound, pass by the famous Town Hall, head through the historic Broadway Market, and then take in Hackney Wick, which is flush with vibrant street art. Explore green spaces including Haggerston and Downs Parks, cross over twelve canals and rivers, and enjoy a panoramic view of the Olympic Park.

You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you cross that finish line. We’ll provide you with:
