Called the best and biggest half marathon in the world by many, the Great North Run shows you all the best landmarks of the North, going through Newcastle and finishing up by the beautiful South Shields.
60,000 people take part every year, soaking up the legendary atmosphere, fantastic entertainment and wonderful support from friendly locals!
How will we support you?
You’ll receive fantastic support from our friendly team from the moment you sign up until you cross that finish line.
We’ll provide you with:
• A free Independent Age technical running vest to wear on race day
• A well-deserved certificate, totalling the amazing amount you raise for us
• Fundraising and training support from our dedicated Events Officer

I have my own place
If you already have your own place in the Great North Run, we’d love to have you on the team! You’ll receive all the same support as our charity place runners.
