Do Something Crafty

Craftivism is a campaign merging craft and activism. It brings people together to use their creativity in peaceful protest.

In response to the coronavirus pandemic we are highlighting unpaid carers, and the volunteers, who are going above and beyond deliver vital aid. Our ask is that you stitch a heart-felt thank you to those assisting you or your loved ones in the hope that we can kickstart a bigger conversation about those who are supporting us at this time.

With social distancing regulations in place during the coronavirus pandemic, it’s become difficult to thank the people we've so quickly become reliant on. Find out more about our #VolunCheer project here.

Create a heart using the downloadable instructions and stitch a message to someone you want to thank. It could be a volunteer helper for collecting medicine, a shop assistant, or the postman.

Thank you to everyone who requested one of our craftivism packs. We've run out of stock so can no longer offer these packs. Please do consider downloading the instructions and still making a heart.

Get crafty

Now that you are a Craftivist, why not help raise awareness of the #LetsTalkLoneliness campaign. Find more information here.

The craftivism manifesto

A craftivist is anyone who uses their craft to help the greater good. Your craft is your voice. Craftivism is about raising consciousness, creating a better world stitch by stitch, and things, made by hand, by a person.
