Host a bake sale for Independent Age
You can host it at home, at work or in the local community. Bake sales are a quick and easy way to raise money – and super tasty, too!
Set a date for your bake sale and start sending invitations. The more treats and bakes you have on sale, the more you’re likely to raise, so see if friends and family are happy to get involved. You can choose to fake it until you make it, by buying some goodies to sell in your bake sale too.
To raise even more money, you can include a competitive element to the bake sale and choose a baking champion. See if you can get a prize donated that you could offer to the best bake, and charge for entry into the competition.
Why support Independent Age?
The money you raise will support people like Veronica. Veronica is 82 years old and lives in the Southeast of England. She called our Helpline as she was struggling with rising electricity bills. Veronica was relying on extra jumpers when she was cold instead of turning on the heating, to keep down costs.
The Helpline helped Veronica to understand more about the money she was entitled to. Now, Veronica is receiving pension credit. This is a crucial top up for her income.
By fundraising for Independent Age, you will provide a support system for older people going through difficult times.
