Amit Patel is the Founder of Peachy - an insurtech start-up that has built the UK's first truly digital health insurance product targeting millennials, micro and small businesses. He is a board & strategic advisor and a tech enthusiast with a keen interest in exponential technologies and their application in healthcare and insurance.
Previously, Amit has held several Senior Roles at Bupa including Director of New Ventures in which he was responsible for incubating, testing and scaling next generation digital ventures; Strategy & M&A Director for Bupa UK (c.£3bn revenue) across its portfolio of regulated businesses - private medical insurance, health & wellbeing clinics, dental clinics, nursing & residential care homes, clinical homecare, and hospital services.
Prior to Bupa, Amit worked as a Strategy Consultant at LEK – a top tier Strategy Consulting firm - advising Fortune 500 companies and private equity investors on growth strategy and M&A across Financial Services, Life Sciences and Healthcare. Amit was previously Special Advisor to HRH The Duke of York, in support of his role as UK Special Representative for International Trade & Investment.
Amit started his career in Medicine and trained as a General Surgeon working in the NHS.
