The Golden Link is a twice-yearly magazine, which contains contributions from the older people we support, including stories and poems as well as information and updates from head office.

Our quarterly newsletter, In touch, includes the latest news, advice and information and updates from Independent Age. To receive our newsletter subscribe here.

For older people who are housebound we offer a telephone book, film, and discussion club, called Live Wires, and a programme of social activities so older people have the opportunity to participate in events and build friendships. We run fit as a fiddle activities, offering heath and wellbeing advice to older people who are housebound and less mobile.

For those in the very greatest need, our team of caseworkers offer detailed assessment and casework, practical support (such as mobility aids that older people cannot get from social services) and financial help in emergencies (to help fix a leaky roof or mend a broken boiler).
